Welcome to the Twisted Rag

This will be the new home of The Twisted Rag's online content. For those of you who have followed my previous ventures as a young, budding journalist (and for those who haven't), I launched a physical magazine into the world in February 2025 to celebrate independent venue week. The focus being on elevating the profile of Hull's thriving grassroots music scene, whilst simultaneously reflecting and paying homage to it's rich musical history. I've previously covered; the famed The New Adelphi Club (who have hosted 13 Glastonbury Pyramid stage headliners, amongst many others, in it's 41 years) , Hull's connection the David Bowie and The Spiders From Mars, The 20 year reunion of Hull's indie superstars The Paddingtons. The line of musical heritage in my city is both phenomenal and very interesting.

A 2nd physical edition of the magazine is pending before the years out (you can still purchase part 1 from our store) For now, I'll be using the page to cover a vast array of tops, keeping everyone up to date with our buzzing grassroots scene and highlighting important activity in our city.

Here at Twisted Nipple Events and The Twisted Rag we are anti racism, pro immigration, anti homophobia, pro trans and gay liberation, anti division, pro community, anti bigotry, pro education, anti hate, pro peace. The list goes on perpetually, the world thrives on diversity, we need it to enrich our lives. I hope in following our journey, that together, we can continue building a beautiful community .
