Another Fat White Family adjacent project from wild and wacky frontman Lias Saudi.
This time in the form of ravey acid house get up Decius.
We'd missed the supports due to loading up on negronis and espresso martinis down the road at Wax Bar. Fired up amply and ready to rave, we entered the pitch black room at Belgrave to be met with sight of Lias Saudi. Naturally dressed in an obscure combination of PVC tank top, black boots and boxer shorts?...

The crowd were excitable from the off, and Decius packed in hits such as 'Walking in the Heat', 'Queen of 14th Street' and 'Look Like a Man'; much to the delight of the sweaty ravers who were going absolutely feral for it! I felt like I'd been transported to a dark dingy, Berlin rave. Crowds of hedonists moved and grooved their bodies to the pulsating, pummeling beats that rattled the venues sound system. There was a tangible euphoria in the air. With the audience frequently erupting into 'bounce pits', pogoing up and down every time the beat dropped, brandishing beaming smiles across their faces.
It was my first time experiencing Decius. So I can't comment much on the repertoire of tunes, however I can say that the atmosphere was absolutely electric, and I was immersed in the atmosphere from the get go. My memory may be slightly tarnished from the several cocktails and shots that enter my system throughout the course of the night. But it's a show I won't forget in a rush!

Lias is a bundle of charisma and eccentricity. And whatever he has his foot in is always an absolute experience!
I'm eager to catch my next Decius show. But for now I'll settle with getting my next Lias fix at Moonlandingz on December 17th at Crookes Social Club in Sheffield!
