Bearded Theory festival announce blistering first wave of acts (The Pixies, Skunk Anansie, Fat Dog, Sprints and more)

A firm favourite in the festival calendar, Bearded Theory, hosted in Catton Park Derbyshire, just announced its blistering first wave of acts for 2026.
36 years after the quintessential album 'Doolittle', 80's darlings and musical pioneers 'The Pixies' will be set to headline this magical little festival in the East Midlands, that many endear a 'mini Glastonbury'.
Since the partnership with DHP family in 2022, Bearded Theory organisers have been able to acquire some of the most prestigious global talent. Last's years headline being the pinnacle of punk rock legends, Iggy Pop.
Bearded Theory always perfectly balances the old with the new and consistently books some of the freshest new emerging talent, with many favourites returning for 2026. Amongst the names are two sets of dynamic duos, Big Special and Getdown Services.
Also massively in its credit is that it really flies the flag for feminism, with a diverse selection of female led talent hitting a variety of stages.
We have the rambunctious, no shit taking punks Lambrini Girls, who have been storming the globe with their unmissable high intensity live shows.
The Post Punk Irish quarter Sprints, who dropped an astonishing debut record 'Letter To Self' in 2024, which reached critical acclaim. Sprint's visceral energy has taken them higher and higher through the UK scene.
The majestic and magical Heartworms, aka Jojo Orme, who brings a captivating presence, powerhouse vocals, and beautifully agitated gothic melodies to her set.
Other notable additions are Panic Shack, Grandmas House, Split Dogs and Venus Grrrls.
As well as the spectacular array of talent, Bearded Theory also offers a beautifully bonded community. You can engage in crafts, workshops, yoga sessions, and cinema screenings. It's a place where strangers become friends, and bizarreness and authenticity are welcomed.
A sense of true togetherness can be felt by singing round a warm fire at 2am, with tea in hand. It brings that priceless home away from home feel to the festival. Many local Bearded Theory goers make the pilgrimage year after year, as it possesses that alluring magic many festivals dream of. We certainly can't wait to be back in the fields for 2026.
