The enthralling journey of 'The Mischief Of The Rats' came to a mighty close this morning. As suspense hung in the rather wet air in the build up to the auctioning of 23 of the 45 6ft tall rat sculptures. Carrying the legacy of a bunch of gritty working class lads from Hull, Mick Ronson and his band 'The Rats'.
Due to the rather dreary and damp weather outside, I decided not to scuttle down to this mornings auction and become item 24 in the exhibit 'drowned rat' (as my Grandad would say). Instead, in true Yorkshire style I decided to settle for the comfort and seclusion of my own home, tea and biscuit in hand, and tuned in to the live auction, nibbling my shortbread in anticipation. I've never felt such unbridled excitement for an auction, but this one was special as I've followed the rat's journey from the start. The highest bidding was in excess of £10,000! How did your favourite rat fare?

Here I've composed a comprehensive list of all the rats, the artists, their sponsors, and the final bidding price. For the designs and more info go to - https://amischiefofrats.co.uk/auction-gallery/
